My Story

Hi! I greet you in the name of Jesus and hoping you have a blessed and brilliant day. I want to tell you a little about my family and me through this letter. I am Ohandy Bladimir Lopez Garcia and I am 10 years old.  As a family, we are not attending the church. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the gospel with my mother and for their encouraging words during the visit.  This year, I studied the 4th grade at school and I received face-to-face classes every day.  I learned a lot about topics with this study method and I played with my classmates. Currently, school fees are expensive, but my parents made an effort to support my brother and me with school expenses. My dream is to become a professional painter. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, but I would like to learn Spanish in order to improve my communication with others.  My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because our custom is to spend that day with the family and to light fireworks. I like to drink “horchata” (a cool beverage made of mashed rice and milk) and Pepsi-Cola. What I like for my birthday is to eat a delicious cake along with my family.  Among sports, I prefer soccer. I want to ask your prayers for my mother who suffers from chest pain.  Fortunately, she visited the doctor and she was under medical treatment, but now she is not taking medicine due to a lack of financial problems. I want to let you know that I had a cleft lip surgery, but I need another one. My parents do not have enough money to do that, but I believe that God will provide. Please pray for me. Thank God, the rest of my family is in good health.

My mother`s name is Tomasa Garcia Jimon. She is 39 years old. At the moment, she continues doing chores at home. In addition, she raises hens, turkeys, and pigs for sale and gets some income. My father`s name is Vicente Lopez Toj. He is 41 years old. Nowadays, he continues working in the tiles factory. In addition, he does farm. As a needy and humble family, our current needs are corn and groceries. We are very grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I received recently through LW. I hope you like to read my letter. May God bless you greatly!

Lots of love,

Ohandy Bladimir Lopez Garcia
