My Story

Hello! We are the team of Adopt a Child writing the update information about Sindrit Kumria. He is 16 years old and his birthday is on January. Sindrit is mentally ill. In our previous information we have given, by mistake wrong information about him. Actually, his brother is well regarding health and Sindrit is the one who is suffering from mental illness. This information was given by mistake because of the mother who while we asked her, has mentioned the wrong names of her children for their stories. The mother is as well suffering from depression and life has been too hard for her. She has marred several times and her two children are with different parents. At present, the mother is staying close to Sindrit, carrying for him inside the house and she is receiving a pension of care for people with special needs. Sindrit likes to play with ball, watches cartoons on television and when he is calm enough, his mother takes him for walks, but not for too long. He is happy type in his character but from time to time, he becomes a bit nervous when he is not receiving what he likes. His step brother is 11 years old. He has gone to school only to learn how to read, write and take a few lessons on Mathematics. He no longer goes to school and is at present selling hazel nuts, whole nuts and other dry fruits as he walks by the road, entering in different bars. He goes around asking people if they wish to buy and he does it so he will not be a bagger. With the money he collect in a day, he buys bread and food items for the family. The house they live in is in bad condition and they are very poor. The parents of both Sindrit of his step brother have never contacted or helped them. The government is treating the family with social assistance, but this small amount is spend in a week or two from them. The program of Adopt a Child has helped them constantly with food and clothes. The step brother of Sindrit visits the church rarely. We are very sorry for the confusion of the information given previously.
