My Story

Hello! sponsors, how are you? I hope you are enjoying the blessings of our Lord Jesus. In this opportunity, I want to share some news about my family and me through this letter. First of all, my family and I are grateful to you and to Living Water because thanks to your support I receive medical and dental attention in the clinics. In addition, I have a meal and spiritual support at the Feeding Program. Unfortunately, I am not attending the Church. As a family, we are grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the gospel with my mother and for their encouraging words during the visit, but we have not taken the decision to attend a church. My mother`s name is Fermina Chic Riz. She is 46 years old. Nowadays, she continues doing chores at home. Moreover, she raises hens to sell and get some income. My father´s name is Daniel Pastor Mucia. He is 45 years old. Currently, he continues working in a tile factory located in Zacualpa village every day. In addition, he grows corn and black beans for our family`s consumption. As a big and humble family, our current needs are groceries, corn, and clothes. By the grace of God, my family and I are in good health.

My name is Angela Pastor Chic and I am 8 years old. This year, I am in 2^nd grade at school. I receive face-to-face classes every day and I am learning a lot with this study method due to my teachers giving a good explanation about homework. At the moment, my parents are making an effort to support my sister and me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that they do not have a stable job. In the future, I want to become a nurse. Christmas is my favorite celebration of the year because our custom is to eat “tamales” (a typical dish). My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with others. I like to drink “mosh” (a hot beverage made of oatmeal). I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of money, but I would like to have a cake someday. Among sports, soccer is my favorite. Thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through LW Adopt-A-Child in December. May God reward you in every area of your life and take care of you!
