Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you and share with you some news about my family and me. This is Aura Jimon Calachij and my age is 13 years old. This year I continue receiving face-to-face classes and I am in 6th. grade. I enjoy studying in this way because I learn easier. My parents are doing their best to support me at school. Nowadays, school supplies are expensive and it is very hard for them to cover the expenses. In the future, I would like to work in a tortilla business. I love Christmas time because we prepare “Tamales and fruit punch” (a typical dish). I enjoy drinking soft drinks. Among sports, I like football.
I want to tell you something about my family. Currently, we continue attending the Catholic Church every Monday. When LW staff collected this information, they shared the gospel with us and encouraged us to continue seeking God. My mother is Hilaria Calachij Garcia, and she is 35 years old. She is a housewife. Moreover, she raises domestic animals like hens and sheep for selling to get some income. In addition, we grow corn and black beans for our consumption. My father is Pedro Jimon Simaj and he is 38 years old. This year, he continues working in the United States. His job consists in washing dishes in a Restaurant. By the grace of God my parents, siblings, and I are in good health. My family is so grateful to LW for blessing me with a delicious meal. As a humble family, our priority needs are corn, groceries, and clothing. May God bless you!
Warm greetings!
Aura Jimon Calachij
