My Story

My full name is Aura Jimon Calachij, and I am pleased to share a little about my life with you. I hope you find my letter engaging. I am a healthy 15-year-old girl, and I keep busy doing some chores to help my mom. I am grateful to God because He allowed my father to come back to Guatemala safe and sound last year. He lived and worked in the United States for a few years. I am sure this was only a blessing from the Almighty to my family and me. Today, my father makes a living as a farmer and day laborer to support our family.

My mom keeps busy doing the chores and strives to help with the expenses. She raises and sells chickens, pigs, and cows. I identify with her because my personality is similar to hers. My family and I are members of the Catholic Church. The activity we enjoy the most at church is Thanksgiving. If you ask me who Jesus is to me, I will say He is my best friend and cares for me. As proof, He allowed me to make a friend. Her name is Elma, and she likes attending church with me. Thank you so much for reading my information!
