My Story

Hello! My heart is overjoyed for having the opportunity to greet you through this letter. My full name is Moises Alexander Chan Mateo, and I am 14 years old. I am doing my best at school as a sixth-grade student. I have a lot of fun by playing with water, so I prefer the hot weather rather than cold. I usually run errands and make my bed to contribute to the chores. I live with my father, stepmother, and sister. Thankfully, we are all in good health. I tell you that my biological mother has another family. She does not help us economically because she is unemployed. My father is the main supporter of our family. He makes a living by selling clothing at the market, while his wife takes care of my sister and me. Most of our needs are groceries and a new bed since we still do not have enough resources to buy it. Could you please pray for us?

My father is deeply grateful to LW-Adopt A Child for all the blessings that I have received for the last five years that I have attended the feeding program. He prays that God continues using all the staff in a big way to carry out this social project. Before having my meals, I usually receive Bible lessons and I like them so much! My family and I do not attend any church at the moment. However, we believe in God and believe that having a good behavior will help us to go to heaven. I want you to know that my father helped me to provide all this information to brother Juan Carlos (a member of the LW staff). He took advantage to talk with my father about how important God is, which my father and I really appreciate. It is time to say goodbye, but I send you many hugs.
