My Story

This is Jefferson David Silva Carcamo, and I want to tell you how my family and I are doing. I am 15 years old, and I am enrolled in seventh grade again. My best friends’ names are David, Angel, and Brayan. I met them about one year ago. We love playing soccer. Participating in a soccer championship at school has been the most exciting experience I have had. I am pleased to let you know that my soccer team and I are doing a good job, and we look forward to reaching the end of the soccer championship. I am sure God is keeping me healthy and allowing me to get along well with my friends.

Now, let me tell you a little about my family. I identify with my mom because she is hardworking and teaches me important moral values. She is my role model. I kindly ask you to pray for my family, especially for my mother’s health. When she is on her period, she gets weakness and seizures. Therefore, she must take her treatment in the morning and at night to stay stable. She devotedly prays to be healed by the Lord. She says that she is alive only due to God’s mercy. We do not attend church because of her work schedule, so a member of the LW staff shared the gospel and encouraged us to do it.

My mom makes a living by tending a bakery. Most of the time, she is worried because she does not get enough income to cover our needs, such as the rent payment for our house and school supplies. Our financial situation gets even more complicated when she has to buy her treatment or new shoes for my siblings and me. I also ask you to pray for my father. We have heard that he makes a living by painting cars, but he is not doing well because he has problems with alcohol. We do not receive any economic support from him. It is time to say goodbye, but I want you to know that my mom and I provided all this information to LW just for you. Have a blessed day!
