My Story

Hello! Cristhian Alexander Vanegas Martinez, and I am glad you are reading my letter. I am 15 years old, and my health condition is good because I frequently work out to keep my blood pressure stable. I used to suffer from low blood pressure. I am enrolled in ninth grade this year. Taking part in the marching band at school has been the most exciting experience I have had. We participated in a musical contest where we won first place. I am sure God heard my prayers and blessed us with that success. We were all so happy about it! My best friend’s name is Ivan. I met him about three years ago. We usually attending the marching band rehearsals together. After that, we like playing soccer and basketball.

My family and I are faithful members of a Christian church where we have learned so much about Jesus. So, I am sure to say He is my king and savior. Let me tell you that I identify with my oldest sister because our likes are similar. We support each other. My adoptive father makes a living as a carpenter. He is under treatment to control his diabetes. He buys his medicine in a state pharmacy. On the other hand, my adoptive mom keeps busy doing the chores and taking care of our family. She also suffers from low blood pressure, but drinks tea to mitigate the issues of her illness. There have always been ups and downs, but I am so happy to live with wonderful people whom I can call my parents. That is a great blessing from the Almighty.
