My Story

I am Amanda Leticia and it is a blessing for me to greet you through this update. I hope everything is going well in your life. Let me tell you that my family and I still attend the Catholic Church every Sunday in our town. I am grateful to LW because a teacher of the evangelism team shared the gospel with my mother and encouraged her to continue growing spiritually. He also took advantage of collecting all my news for you. My mother, Ana Maria Diego, is 33 years old. Since my father abandoned our family, my mother has done her best to support our family. She makes a living in a tortilleria business in Dueñas. By the Almighty’s grace, none of us has gotten sick so far. We need groceries and clothes at home. Taking advantage of this moment, I want you to know that LW is tremendously important for my family and me. We have received so much help, especially in the most challenging moments. We do not have many domestic animals at home. We only have a lovely dog.

Now, I want you to know that I use my time to work in a tortilleria business in my town to help my family economically. I had to stop studying some years ago due to our low economy. I would love to become a soldier and speak English in the future. My favorite holiday is Christmas because I can spend lovely moments with my loved ones. I love drinking Coca-Cola and soccer is my favorite sport. I turned fifteen years old in June. Despite our economic situation, my mother strives to celebrate birthdays; she saves some money to prepare a special lunch. I say goodbye to you for now, but I send you many kisses and hugs, hoping to hear from you soon.

From the bottom of my heart,

Amanda Leticia Marroquin Diego
