My Story

I fondly greet you, hoping this letter finds you doing well. My full name is Sergio Leonel Torres Veliz and I am 17 years old. I am pleased to tell you that I have attended the feeding program for about twelve years. My parents are deeply grateful for all the benefits that I have received there. I was invited by one of my friends, and since I started to go there, I noticed that many children received meaningful support. I tell you that I am in ninth grade at school, and I usually help my mother to do some household chores like making my bed. I like the cold weather and I enjoy attending the services of my church. My family and I are members of a Christian Church called Fire and Spirit.

Brother Franklin (a member of the LW staff) recently asked my mother how she can be assured of being admitted into Heaven. My mother said that God loves us and gave us salvation through his son, Jesus. She was encouraged to continue persevering at church, which was a great blessing. Thankfully, my whole family and I are doing well. My father works hard as a motorcycle taxi driver to support our family, while my mother dedicates her full time to taking care of my sister and me.
