My Story

Hello! My name is Hassel Isabella, and I am excited to share my last news with you. I hope this letter finds you doing well. I want you to know that my family and I are members of a Christian Church called New Hope; we attend it on Sundays. Taking advantage of this, I want you to know that we are grateful for LW. This is a meaningful project because many families like mine receive a lot of blessings through the staff. In addition, a teacher of LW staff shared the gospel and encouraged us to trust in God and our salvation. We are a humble family, so our priorities are food supplies. My father, Alan Lima, is 40 years old. He tries to support our necessities by taking pictures while my mother keeps busy doing the chores and taking care of my younger Hassel and me. Her name is Telma Herrera, and she is 36 years old. Thankfully, my whole family and I are healthy.

I am a second grader this year and classes are face-to-face every day. I like this method because I enjoy playing with my friends. I want to become a doctor when I am older, so I would like to count on your prayers for my parents and me. Everything is expensive now, so it is difficult for my father to pay for my school supplies. Christmas is the best celebration because I love spending unique moments with my family and seeing the ornaments. I like drinking Coca-Cola and dancing. I will turn nine years old in September. What I enjoy the most is eating a delicious cake, receiving gifts, and breaking a piñata (a traditional birthday puppet) to celebrate my birthday. This is all for now, but if you want to hear something else about my life, feel free to ask me.

With many special regards,

Hassel Isabella Lima Herrera
