My Story

It is a beautiful day to say hello to you and I hope you are doing great! Praise the Lord, my family and I attend Sheep Shelter Church; I go with my grandma on Tuesdays. My family and I are in good health, thanks to the Lord. My father is not in my life since he passed aways years ago. My mother is Eden Noemi Polanco Chavez, and she is 37 years old. Unfortunately, she has not found a job due to she was in prison and it makes hard for her supply our needs. Thankfully, we count with my grandma´s help, she cleans houses with our neighbors to get income and cover the home expenses. My grandma is Ruth Chavez, and she is 55 years old.

I am Amy Hanay Polanco Chavez, and I am 13 years old. This year I was in 6th grade; since my classes were at school, my learning improved a lot. Supporting my brother and me at school is hard for my grandmother because the school supplies are very expensive, and my mother is not helping us. My dream is to continue with my studies to become an accountant someday. The language I would like to learn is English; it is so interesting. I like sodas, Sprite is my favorite one. Basketball is the sport I like the most. Christmas is my favorite seasons of the year; I receive gifts in the feeding program and it makes me so happy. On my birthday, I like to eat cake and go to the Zoo with my family, if possible, of course. I am so blessed to be part of the feeding program from Living Water, I appreciate so much the support I receive; the food and medical care for free means a great blessing for me and my family. I also receive spiritual support which is really important. At home, our top priorities are groceries, a bed and school supplies. Sending huge hugs and hoping to receive news from you very soon. Many and rich blessings on your daily activities!

Best wishes,

Amy Hanay Polanco Chavez
