Zacualpa
Guatemala
Child
I say hello to you through the beautiful mountains in Guatemala. I hope you are having a fantastic day alongside your loved ones. My name is Katherinne Thomasa Morente Calachij, and I am 11 years old. I am glad because I am in fifth grade and attend school on the morning shift. I like weekends because my family and I usually visit my grandparents. Thankfully, my whole family and I are in good health. My father has a butchery and covers all the expenses and needs at home with his income. My mom makes a living as a secretary at RENAP (National Register of People). We grow chili peppers, celery, and cilantro at home for our consumption.
My mom, oldest sister, and I attend the Emanuel Methodist Church. My parents welcomed Jesus into their hearts many years ago. My father used to attend church with us, but he suddenly stopped. So, I ask you to pray for him. Let me tell you that a teacher of the LW evangelism team encouraged my oldest sister to continue persevering at church and trusting in her salvation. It is a blessing for my family and me to count on LW-Adopt A Child. My favorite food is fried chicken. The staff makes me happy each time they prepare that tasty food. I like celebrating Christmas there because the staff and volunteers perform engaging choreographies. I say goodbye to you now, but I hope the Lord spills a lot of blessings upon your life today and always.
With much love,
Katherinne Thomasa Morente Calachij
