My Story

This is Rigoberto de la Cruz Grave, your Guatemalan adoptive child. I am pleased to write this letter and share my updated information with you. I hope this finds you doing well. By the grace of the Lord, I am a healthy 14-year-old boy. I am in sixth grade. I beg you to pray for my father. He traveled to the United States some years ago. My family and I are worried because he does not have legal papers to be there. However, we trust God is taking care of him. We have been in touch with him and received his economic support. He is doing well and works as a gardener.

My family and I are members of a Christian church called Divine Light. Our favorite activity at church is the Thanksgiving service for the harvest. Let me tell you that I identify with my grandmother because she is loving. She is a housewife and sells chickens raised at home to contribute to the expenses. She taught me to love Jesus as my savior and Heavenly Father. My grandfather makes a living by farming the land. I want to share that my best friend’s name is Jose Armando Hernandez. We love playing football when we get together. I will leave you now, but I want you to know that my grandmother helped me share all my news with LW. Have a blessed day!
