I wish you a brilliant day and I hope you are doing fine. I am Lilia Maricela de la Cruz Ajanel and I am 15 years old. I am so happy to share with you a little about my family and me. My mother`s name is Sebastiana Ajanel Ordoñez. She is 39 years old. Currently, she continues taking care of the family and she is a housewife. Moreover, she raises hens and turkeys for family consumption. My father`s name is Pedro De La Cruz Garcia and he is 41 years old. Nowadays, he continues to earn a living by working as a farmer and day laborer. In addition, he travels to the coast to cut sugar cane for 6 months. As a big and humble family, our current need is corn and groceries. We grow corn and black beans for family consumption. At the moment, we are attending the Charismatic Group once a week. Thank you to the LW evangelism team who encouraged me to seek God. I am sure of my salvation because I have Jesus in my heart. By the grace of God, all my family and I are in good health.
This year I no longer attend school due to a lack of financial resources and last year I finished 6th grade. At the moment, I am helping my mother with chores at home. In the future, I want to work in a grocery store. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with other people. My favorite season of the year is winter because of the cool weather. I like to drink “Mosh con leche” (a hot beverage made of oatmeal and milk). Among sports, I prefer athletics. What I like for my birthday is to eat a delicious cake. We are grateful to Living Water because I receive the meals, medical and dental attention, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at year`s end. I hope you enjoy reading my letter. May God take care of you everywhere you are!
Lots of love,
Lilia Maricela de la Cruz Ajanel
