My Story

My name is Marvin Leonel Garcia Hernandez and it is such a blessing to greet you through this letter. I am 17 years old and I will tell you a little bit about my life, hoping you enjoy reading my information. I like the hot weather and I am dedicated to studying. I am repeating eighth grade at school. I live with my mother and two sisters. Luckily, my whole family and I are in good health. Unfortunately, I do not have my father with me because he passed away. My mother is a domestic employee and works in Guatemala City in order to maintain our family. While she goes to work, my grandmother takes care of my siblings and me.

I want to use this opportunity to tell you that my mother was glad to help me compose this letter for you. She is grateful to LW-Adopt A Child for the food and medical and dental care they have provided me for about eight years. Moreover, this organization has provided my family and me with spiritual assistance. Brother Emanuel (a member of the LW staff) recently encouraged my mother and me to continue believing in God and persevere at church. We are a Catholic family and what we enjoy the most is participating in the holy mass. We have assurance to go to heaven because we are doing our best to follow the commandments. It is time to say goodbye, but I kindly ask you to pray for my whole family and me. In advance, thank you so much!
