My Story

It is such a blessing to write this new letter for you. I am Yamileth Daniela Jerez Santos and I want to start this letter by expressing to you how grateful my parents are for the food that I have received at the feeding program. They enrolled me there about two years ago which has been a great blessing for me. I am 12 years old and I am doing my best at school. I am repeating the fourth grade again. Fortunately, I am in good health and I usually help my mother to do the cleaning of our house. The main supporter of my family is my father. He is doing well and makes a living as a mason. My mother is also doing well and works hard in a store by selling pork meat and cracklings in order to contribute to the expenses.

One of my uncles lives with us and helps my parents to cover the electricity and running water expenses. I prefer the hot weather rather than cold, and I attend the Catholic Church together with my family. We feel motivated to persevere there because we have learned more about God’s word while we participate in the holy mass. I appreciate that sister Princesa (a member of the LW staff) recently shared the gospel with my sister and me as an encouragement to take care of our salvation and be obedient to his voice. Moreover, she took advantage of the opportunity to collect all this information for you. It is time to say goodbye, but I kindly ask you to pray for my whole family and me.
