My Story

Hello! I am so glad to greet you by this means and share some news about my family and me. My name is Juan Carlos Obispo Ajqui. I am 12 years old, and I am in good health condition. I was in 4^th grade this year. Thankfully, I attended face-to-face classes, and it was wonderful because I could learn more. It was a little difficult for me to do my homework, but I always gave my best. For my mother, it is complicated to buy my notebooks and backpack because she does not earn much money, so I appreciate everything she does for me to support me with my studies. When I grow up, I would like to have the opportunity of traveling to USA, so I can earn my own money; it is why, I have the desire of learning a new language like English. I love Christmas because it is a time to share with the family. I love sodas, and I want you to know that we do not do anything special for my birthday due to our low economic resources. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer. I am grateful to Living Water for the food we receive there because it is a great blessing for my family and me.  

My mother struggles to cover our needs since my father passed away about 4 years ago.  Now, she earns a living by tending her small business at the plaza where she makes and sells tortillas; fortunately, she finds herself in good health too. We do not have a piece of land to cultivate, so we have to buy corn for our consumption. It is difficult for my mother to afford everything at home, so we are in need of groceries and corn.  As a family, we are members of the Catholic Church, and we attend mass every Tuesday and Sunday. Before I say goodbye, I want you to know that my mother gave this information to the Evangelism team, and they encourage us to continue seeking God in every circumstance.
