My Story

Hello, I am delighted to send my greetings in this opportunity! I am Juana Elicia De La Cruz De La Cruz. I will turn 15 years old in November. At school I am in 4^th grade, and I receive my classes on the morning shift. I usually help with the chores at home, and on weekends, I go to collect firewood so my mother can cook our meals. My dad does farm work and he also works as a plumber. Furthermore, he goes to pick coffee beans on the coast during the harvest season. My mom does the housework and raises hens and pigs to sell and get income. We cultivate corn and black beans for our livelihood. Thankfully, we are fine at home.

I love to participate in the Christmas activity that Living Water prepares in the feeding program, especially because I get a gift. My family and I are very thankful to God for all the blessings I receive through the program; the food and medical care are so helpful to me. The food I enjoy most in the program is fried chicken. We are members of the Catholic Church; my parents accepted Jesus into their hearts some time ago. Let me tell you that older sister provided this information to the LW staff to share news about me.
