My Story

I greet you in the name of Jesus hoping you are fine! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Catholic Church; we go on Sundays. We appreciate so much the encouraging words that LW staff gave us, we have already accepted Jesus in our hearts. This time I want to ask for your prayers for my mother who is sick with diabetes. She visited a doctor and was taking medicines but could not continue buying the medicines due to limited resources. Besides that, we are quite well. My mother is Blanca Estela Grave, and she is 42 years old. She does the housework, and she also raises hens to sell and get income. My father is Genaro Lopez, and he is 46 years old. He is employed as both a farmer and a day laborer. We grow corn and black beans for the family's consumption.

I am Lecsy Clarisa Lopez Grave, and I am 16 years old. I no longer attend school because I did not like it. Since then, I have been helping my mother with the housework. I hope to look for a job in a clothes store. I speak the Spanish as my native language and have some knowledge of K'iche´ Mayan dialect, but I would like to learn it. Something I would like to have on my birthday is a cake to share with my family; it must be fantastic.  I love spending time with my family at Christmas; we have a cheerful time with our relatives. Playing football is so much fun; it is my favorite sport. I like sodas, especially Pepsi which is my favorite one. I take this opportunity to give endless thanks for all the support I receive through Living Water; the meals are a great blessing for me, and it is an economic savings for my parents. At home, the primary needs for us are groceries and corn. Well, this is all for now. Many and abundant blessings to you!

Kind regards,

Lecsy Clarisa Lopez Grave
