My Story

I am delighted to say hello to you through this letter. I hope you are doing well wherever you are. My name is Odilia Rosmery and I am 13 years old. My family and I attend a Christian Church called Emanuel in our town. We usually have services on Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Let me tell you that my mom, Rosa Maria Morente Gutierrez, is 44 years old. She keeps busy selling beauty products and tending a fabric store to support my needs. She is the only one who supports our family. Fortunately, my mom and I are in good health. Taking advantage of this, I want you to know that I am grateful to you and many good-hearted people for supporting LW. This is a meaningful project where we have received many blessings.

As for me, let me tell you that I was in seventh grade this year. I enjoyed attending school because I learned the lessons much better. My mom did her best to cover my school supplies, but it was so difficult for her. She has not had a stable job, and everything is expensive. Some of our needs are clothes and groceries, especially corn. My dream is to become a neonatologist when I am older. My favorite holiday is Christmas because it is a colorful and cheerful time. Besides that, I love celebrating my birthday because my family gathers to have a lovely time with me. I like soft drinks, but my favorite is Coca-Cola, and my favorite sport is basketball. My native language is Spanish, but I would love to speak the Kiche dialect someday. To end this letter, I want you to know that my mom helped me to give all this information to a teacher of LW.
