My Story

My name is Cristina, and I am glad to share a little bit about my life with you through this letter. I hope you are doing well. My family and I do not attend church at the moment. We have not had time to do it lately. I am grateful to LW because a teacher of the evangelism team shared the gospel with my mother. The teacher took advantage of that moment to collect all my last news for you. The people in charge of covering the expenses and needs are my parents. My father, Miguel Gutierrez, is 40 years old. He makes a living as a bricklayer’s helper. He also harvests corn for our consumption. My mother, Marta Herandez, is 41 years old. She raises and sells domestic animals. She has hens, turkeys, and a few cows. Fortunately, none of us are sick. We need clothes and groceries at home, especially corn. The feeding program has been a great help for my family and me. I can receive delicious lunches, so I am deeply grateful to you and many other good-hearted people for making this blessing possible in my community. As for me, I want you to know that I am seventeen years old and nowadays, I use my time to help my mother with the chores. I would love to become as good a housewife like my mother someday. My favorite holiday is Christmas because of the tasty tamales. There are many beverages, but my favorites are fruit juices. I will have my birthday in November. However, my family and I do not have the custom of celebrating birthdays. This is all for now, but I hope you like my information. See you later!

With much love,

Cristina Gutierrez Hernandez
