My Story

It is a privilege to write this letter to you. My full name is Mailyn Roxana Morente Riz, and I am a healthy 14-year-old girl. How are you doing? I hope you are having a bright and lovely day wherever you are. Fortunately, I passed my grade last year. I am in seventh grade this year. I attend school in the morning. I like embroidering napkins on weekends. I am grateful to LW for providing medicine for free to many needy people like my family and me. I enjoy attending the feeding program because I can eat delicious food like fried chicken. That is my favorite food! This project has blessed me with a lovely Christmas gift annually. So, I hope the Lord blesses all those who support LW-Adopt a Child.

I want you to know that my siblings and I are under the care of my aunts Tomasa and Ana Riz because my parents are in the United States. Fortunately, my whole family is in good health. My father makes a living as a farmer, and my mom works as a babysitter. They are in communication with us and send us money for our basic needs and expenses. I ask you to pray for them so the Lord keeps them safe. In advance, thank you so much! I attend the Prince of Peace Church alongside my siblings and aunts. We already received Jesus in our hearts and trust in our salvation. I will leave you now, but I hope to hear from you soon. It would be fantastic to receive a letter from you.
