My Story

Hello! I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus and hope you have a successful day. First of all, my family and I are grateful to Living Water because I receive medical and dental attention in the LW clinics. In addition, I have a meal and spiritual support at the Feeding Program. I want to let you know that we are attending Christian Life Church every Tuesday and Saturday. Thank you to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words to us during the visit, so we have Jesus in our hearts. My mother´s name is Ana Ajqui de la Cruz. She is 45 years old. Currently, she continues living and working in the United States. She earns a living by working as a maid. My father`s name is Pedro Mucia Grave. He is 48 years old. As you know, we have communication with my parents, and they send us some money monthly. I live with my paternal uncle Tomas Pol Guarcas and my aunt Isabel Mucia. Thank God, my family and I are in good health.

My name is Silvia Alicia Mucia Ajqui, and I am 24 years old. As you know, I am not studying but I help with chores at home. My dream is to become a maid. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish in order to improve my communication with others. Soft drink beverages are what I prefer to drink. Christmas is my favorite celebration of the year because I like to spend that day with my family. I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of financial resources. I like to run in my spare time. We grow corn for our family`s consumption. As a humble family, our needs are corn and groceries. Thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through Living Water Adopt-A-Child every December.
