My Story

Good morning! I feel so blessed to be part of the feeding program from Living Water and receive a big support. My name is Domminick Alex Tunay Ortiz. I recently turned 16 years old. My mom is still making and selling tortillas. She also sells snacks to get more income and supply our needs. As a family, we have gone through hard economic times since my mother is the only one who provides for our family. Nevertheless, God has never left us alone and we receive support from Living Water. My mom suffers from her gallbladder and is having pain again; the doctors recommended her to do the surgery. Last year, they only took out the stones. Now, she has to make appointment at the hospital. This process takes time and we hope it can be very soon. I beg for your prayers for her. I want to tell you I am having problems seeing far away. Due to our limited resources, I have not visited a doctor. Besides that, we are fine.

Unfortunately, I did not pass my grade last year, and now, I am repeating 7^th grade. I have a friend named Derek; we have been friends since we were in 1^st grade. We enjoy playing football. I usually help my mom to go to the corn mill to get the dough; it is my task every day. I admire my mom because she puts a lot of effort into everything she does and teaches me to appreciate everything we have, even if it is not too much. I tell you that my family and I went to the Beach “San Jose”, I was so excited to be in the sea. I thank God who provided the resources and watched over us during the trip. We still attend Saint Paul Catholic Church. We like to attend bible readings and family reunions. It was so king of an evangelism teacher to share the gospel with us. Jesus is my savior and friend.  I would like you to know that my sister, Jessica, shared this information with an evangelism teacher to update you about me. Well, this is all for now.
