My Story

I greet you lovingly, hoping you are doing well. My name is Estefany Noemi and I am glad to share my last news with you. At the moment, my family and I do not attend any church. I hope it might change soon. As you know, I do not have my father with me because he passed away many years ago. His name was Hector Rodolfo Albizures Chacon. Therefore, my mother has done her best for me. Her name is Natalia Orellana and she is 38 years old. She makes a living by washing and ironing clothes for other people. Fortunately, we count on her partner’s financial support. His name is Cesar Morataya and he is 60 years old. He works by picking up trash for the city hall. As for health, they are doing well. I am stable, although I suffer from an intellectual disability. Because of my condition, I was not enrolled at school this year because I must attend a private school specialized to help people with my condition. However, my family does not have the resources to do it. Before knowing about my situation, I was enrolled in fourth grade last year. After some months, the teacher noticed that I had to return to second grade because I was not prepared to learn new topics. I did my best to improve my knowledge, but because of my condition, I failed that grade.

Therefore, my mother took me to the hospital and doctors informed my mother about my medical condition. They did not prescribe medicines, although their advice was to avoid sugar and caffeine. I want to use this opportunity to ask for your prayers for my family and me because we are a needy family. Our priorities are food and having new furniture, such as a closet, a table, and a bed. I would love to become a doctor to help needy people when I am older. I love Christmastime because of the Christmas tree and its lights. I love drinking orange juice. My favorite sport is soccer and I have fun playing a game called lottery. I turned fourteen years old in July. If we have enough resources at home, my mother buys a delicious cake to celebrate my day. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I want you to know that my mother and I are grateful to LW. This project gives spiritual and social help to many children like me. An AAC member talked with my mother to collect all this information for you. I say goodbye to you now, but thank you so much for your kind attention. See you later!

With much love,

Estefany Noemi Orellana
