My Story

It is a blessing for me to say hello to you through this letter. I hope you are doing well. This is Mayra Alejandra, and I am so happy to tell you my last news. I live with my parents and by God’s grace, they are in good health. We attend a Christian Church called Restauration. We usually attend the services on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. As everybody else, we have many troubles in life. However, we are grateful because LW has helped us a lot. We have received groceries and medical and dental care. To inform you about my life, my mom gave all this information to a member of LW. My mom also could hear the gospel; it was a relief for her. My mother’s name is Florinda de Jesus Aguilar Zacarias, and she is 40 years old. She works hard by doing the chores and taking care of me. My father still works as a mason to support our needs. His name is Jose Alfredo Lorenzana, and he is 55 years old. Some of our greatest needs are clothes and groceries.

As for me, I want you to know that I am 15 years old. I am in fourth grade, and I prefer to receive face-to-face classes. Because of the pandemic, I used to work at home with study guides, but I could not learn the lessons well. I work hard to increase my knowledge, but it is a little hard for me. I still do not know how to make a living when I grow up, but I hope to tell you soon about it. My dad does his best for my mom and me, but he sometimes cannot support all my school supplies because they are expensive, and he does not earn much. My favorite holiday is Christmas because I enjoy burning firecrackers. My favorite drink is Pepsi and I love receiving gifts to celebrate my birthday. Thankfully, I am in good health.
