My Story

First, thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. My name is Jonathan Josue, and I greet you fondly, wishing many blessings for you. My family and I do not attend any church at the moment. I live with my mom, stepfather, and siblings. My stepfather, Jose Manuel de Leon, is 39 years old. He makes a living as a shoemaker to support our family. He has lived with us for many years. My mom, Liliana Alejandra Lorenzana Juarez, and she is 35 years old. She keeps busy doing the household chores. As for health, let me tell you that she has health issues. She has pain and feels lumps in her right breast. She has spent a lot of money on medical tests, and unfortunately, she is not under medical treatment yet. However, she is attending a national hospital called San Juan de Dios to know what she suffers from. Therefore, I would love to count on your prayers for her. The rest of my family is in good health.

Now, I want you to know more about my life. I am a 12-year-old healthy boy. This year, I attended school as a sixth grader. I was glad because I could play with my friends and learn much better. My mom and stepfather did their best to support my school supplies, but they had trouble doing it because of a lack of money. Our greatest needs are food and shoes. I want to continue studying to become a policeman. Besides that, I would love to speak English. I hope to accomplish my dreams someday. My favorite season is summer because I enjoy playing in the water. I like drinking Coca-Cola, and my favorite sport is soccer. I love celebrating my birthday with my family. If there is enough resources, we usually buy a delicious cake to celebrate. To end this letter, I want you to know that my mom helped me to give all this information to a member of the LW staff. We are grateful for all the support and benefits we have received at the feeding program. See you later!

Kind regards,

Jonathan Josue Hernandez Lorenzana
