My Story

Hi! I greet you in this opportunity and I hope you are doing fine and blessed by our Lord Jesus. I want to share with you a little about my family and me. I am Genesis Abigail Soto Xar and I am 17 years old. Fortunately, this year we are attending the Restoration Church every Sunday. My mother´s name is Helen Ilena Soto. She is 41 years old. Nowadays, she earns a living by working as a cook. Currently, my brother is not helping her financially because he does not have a job. So, she is the only one that supports us with home expenses. I want to ask for your prayers for her because she suffers from high blood pressure.  Fortunately, she visited the doctor and she was taking medicine, but now she is not under medical treatment due to a lack of money. Thank God the rest of my family and I are in good health.

This year I am in 9th grade at school. I am receiving face-to-face classes every day, and I learn a lot easier with this study method. At the moment, school fees are expensive, but my mother is making an effort to support my sister and me with school expenses. In the future, I want to become a lawyer. I speak Spanish where I live, but I would like to learn Korean which is an interesting language. My favorite time of the year is the end because I enjoy my vacations from school. I prefer to drink natural juices. I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of financial resources.  Among sports, I love fencing. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries, a bed, and a wardrobe. My family and I are so grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive every December.

May God bless you greatly and take care of you!
