Persons In Need
Hello! My name is Delvina Hysa. I am 19 years old, and my birthday is in November. I am doing well and in good health. I still have epilepsy but it is already controlled through taking the proper medication. The reason why I still go to school is that I have skipped it for a few years. This is because I am not doing too well and mentally I am slow. My favorite color is pink, and my dream for the future is to become a nurse. After school, I enjoy cooking and cleaning with my mother, as it gives us the chance to spend more time together. After finishing the housework, I like to play volleyball with my friends, which is always fun and relaxing. I also love to paint. I often sit outside and paint whatever captures my attention in nature or around me. I live in a village belonging to the community of Prrenjas, and my family has six members who are my father, mother, two sisters, my brother, and me. One of my sisters and my brother are frequenting the program of Adopt a Child. Our family owns some land, where my parents have planted alfalfa for our goats. On another portion of land, they grow potatoes and beans for our own use, which helps us save money on groceries. My father is currently unemployed, which has been difficult for our family. Because of our low income, we are very grateful to the Adopt a Child program for the support it provides. Every year, my mother plants a vegetable garden in the spring, growing peppers, tomatoes, beans, and other vegetables for our family. Our goat provides milk and other dairy products for personal use, and my father sells one or two goats each year to earn a small income. This money helps us buy food and clothes for the family. The Adopt a Child program receives packages containing food items and groceries that can be cooked in their homes. When a child comes to receive their food box, they are asked to bring a parent. This way, we have open doors to evangelize and invite them to join our church activities. The program provides teen Bible lessons that I attend often. They also offer weekly Bible studies for women who believe in the Lord. Thank you for supporting the children in our program spiritually and physically. God bless you in abundance.
