My Story

This is Brenda Maribel and I am so happy to greet you through this update. I want you to know that my family and I attend the Catholic Church on Sundays. We got excited and encouraged when a teacher of LW shared the gospel with me. He also used that moment to collect all my news for you. My father, Carlos Gomez, is 39 years old. Fortunately, he still works in San Sebastian Farm. My mother, Rosalina Lopez, is also 39 years old. She keeps busy doing the chores. As for health, almost my whole family and I are doing well. Unfortunately, that is not the case for my mom since she suffers from sciatic nerve. Fortunately, she gets shots to treat her condition. My dad does his best for our family, but his income does not cover all the expenses. Besides that, everything is pricey. Our greatest needs are groceries. We do our best to harvest corn for our consumption. Thankfully, my brother and I can attend the feeding program. This project has helped us a lot and the staff has made us feel nurtured and special. I turned nineteen years old this year. I would love to become a secretary and speak a new language like English. However, I stopped studying about two years ago because our economic situation has not gone well. I like summer because it does not rain during this season. I love eating delicious meals and drinking natural juices to celebrate a special event at home, especially to celebrate my birthday. Soccer is the most famous sport in my country, but my favorite is basketball. I say goodbye to you now, but before ending this update, I want you to know we have a lovely dog at home. I hope to tell you more about it later.

Sincerely yours,

Brenda Maribel Gomez Lopez
