My Story

I greet you fondly, hoping the Almighty is pouring lots of blessings upon you. This is Leydi Karina and I am glad to share my last news with you. My family and I attend the Catholic Church every Wednesday. As you already know, my father passed away some years ago. My mother continues living and working in the United States to support our family. Her name is Paulina Perez, and she is 30 years old. She makes a living in a purified water plant. Therefore, my sister and I are under the care of my grandmother on the side of my mother. Her name is Juana Rodriguez. By God’s grace, we are doing well and healthy. Our priority needs are groceries. I want to use this moment to tell you that LW is a tremendous blessing not just for my family and me but for many needy people. We raise hens and pigs and harvest corn and beans for our consumption.

I am ten years old, and I attend school as a third grader. I agree to receive face-to-face classes because I understand the lessons so much better. My favorite holiday is Independence Day because I enjoy all the activities that people organize to celebrate that day. I love drinking banana shakes and playing soccer. I would love to speak a new language like English. I hope to be able to do it someday. My birthday will be in November. What I love the most is having a delicious cake to celebrate. To end this letter, I want you to know that a teacher from LW spoke with my grandmother to collect all this information for you. I will leave you for now, but I hope you find this update engaging.
