My Story

Hello! I greet you in the name of Jesus hoping you are doing great! Praise the Lord my family and I attend a Christian Church; we go on Saturdays. We trust our Salvation in God.

Unfortunately, my father is having pain in his right foot. He visited a doctor and is taking medicine. Besides that, the rest of my family is fine. My mother is Juana Barrera, and she is 51 years old. She goes to wash clothes with our neighbors to get money and help with the expenses. Moreover, she raises and sells hens and turkeys. My father is Carlos Mendez, and he is 52 years old. He makes a living by working as a day laborer. At home, we harvest corn and black beans for the family's consumption.

I am Cristian Emilson Mendez Barrera, and I am a 15-year-old boy. This year I no longer attend school, but last year, I finished primary school. For now, I am working in a glass manufacturer and metallic structures in my village. The English language catches my attention, and I would like to learn how to speak it. My dream is to become a merchant. I love drinking lemonade, and it is my favorite beverage. Playing football is so much fun; it is my favorite sport. I like Christmas time because of the firecrackers; I light some of them and I have a lot of fun. Something I love on my birthday is to receive some gift; it makes me so happy. I am so grateful to Living Water for blessing me with food and medical care in the clinics; it means a great support for me. We are in need of groceries. Well, this is all for now.
