My Story

Hi! It is a pleasure to greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus.  I am Edy Eduardo Luis Castro and I am 15 years old.  As a family, we continue attending the Catholic Church once a week. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words to my mother during the visit.  She is sure of her salvation in Jesus. Thankfully, this year, I studied the 8^th grade at school, I received face-to-face classes every day and learned a lot with this study method. Nowadays, school fees are expensive, but my mother made an effort to support me with school expenses. Sometimes, it was very difficult to cover every expense. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn English which is a very interesting language. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because our custom is to eat “tamales” (a typical dish). I like to drink fruit juice.  I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of financial resources, but I would like to do that someday. Among sports, I prefer soccer. Thank God, my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Rosalina Magdalena Luis Castro. She is 30 years old.  At the moment, she does chores at home and takes care of the family.  Moreover, she raises hens to sell and get some income. As you know, my father abandoned the family some years ago. So, she is the only one that supports us financially. As a needy and humble family, our current needs are groceries.  We are very grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive every December through LW.  I hope you enjoy reading my letter. May God bless you greatly!
