My Story

It is my pleasure to greet you through this and I hope our Lord is taking care of you! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Ebenezer Methodist Church; we go on Mondays and Fridays. This time LW staff shared the gospel with us and encouraged us to continue seeking God; we appreciate it so much. My mother is Marina Castro Huarcas, and she is 42 years old. She does the housework, and she also raises hens and pigs to sell. At home, we have a mango tree, a lime tree, and we grow corn and coriander; all these products are for our consumption. My father is Jose Tol Tol, and he is 41 years old. He continues living in the United States, and he works as a house painter. He calls us every two weeks and sends us money to meet our needs. This time I want you to pray for my parents’ health. Both my parents suffer from diabetes, and my mother also has gastritis. They have already visited a doctor and are taking medicine. My siblings and I are fine.

I am Miguel Angel Tol Castro, and I am 14 years old. Unfortunately, this year I could not continue at school due to limited resources. For now, I work as a farmer and day laborer in our village to contribute to the income. I am considering travelling to the United States and help my family economically. The English language catches my attention, and I would like to learn how to speak it. Playing football is so much fun; it is my favorite sport. I like sodas, especially Coca-Cola which is my favorite one. I like New Year’s because of the firecrackers. I like to light some of them. Something I love on my birthday is that my family prays for me. I am so grateful to you and Living Water for providing me with tasty meals; it is so helpful for my family and me. At home, the top priorities are groceries and corn. In spite of our limited resources, we are receiving the necessary provisions from God. So long. Many and rich blessings to you!

Kind regards,

Miguel Angel Tol Castro
