My Story

This is Byron Adonias Toj Garcia, and I am happy to write you this letter. First, I want to tell you about my loved ones. They are my parents. My father’s name is Raymundo, and he is 43 years old. He is in good health, and he works as a farmer. My mother’s name is Juana, and she is 43 years old. She is in good health, and she works hard at home and looks after our domestic animals. Our income is low, so we are in need of groceries. Hens, sheep and cows are part of our domestic animals, and we sell them to get some extra money. We grow corn and black beans, and they are for our consumption. We attend church once a week, and we are assured of our Salvation.

My dreams are to get a good job in the future and learn English language. My personal tastes are soccer as a sport, “Mosh” (hot drink made from oat) as a beverage, and Christmas as a celebration; I love the traditional “tamales”. I am in 7th grade, and I prefer to attend school in person because it is easier to learn the lessons. It has been difficult for my parents to cover my school supplies, but they are doing their best. It would be nice to have a birthday party someday. I am 14 years old, and I am in good health. Living Water has been a great support for me, and I am grateful for the delicious food received. I say goodbye to you for now, and I pray God blesses you in a big way.

All the best
