First, thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter. I am Belsy, and I hope this update finds you doing well. I am fourteen years old and attend the Prince of Peace Church twice weekly with my family. Fortunately, we are healthy. My father is Ricardo Morente, and he is 50 years old. He keeps busy looking after his crops. He grows onion, cilantro, and corn for our consumption. My mother is Juana Gomez, and she is 46 years old. She is a housewife and raises hens to sell and help with her income. We count on my oldest siblings’ support; they live and work in the United States. Thankfully, my whole family and I are healthy. One of my dreams is to become a teacher. Therefore, I am doing my best as a sixth grader.
I like attending face-to-face classes because I understand better how to do homework. My favorite holiday is Christmas because of the tasty tamales. I love drinking banana shakes, and my favorite sport is soccer. If I could learn a new language, I would choose English. Seeing new places is something that I love doing the most. I hope to visit a lovely place called “Santa Lucia” for my next birthday. This is all for now about my life, but before saying goodbye to you, let me tell you a little about LW. This has been a crucial project because of food and medicines for my siblings and me. A teacher of the evangelism team spoke with me to collect my news for you. I also told her that I am sure about my salvation. See you later!
With much love,
Belsy Morente Gomez
