My Story

My name is Juan Francisco, and I am delighted to greet you through this letter. I hope your loved ones and you are doing well wherever you are. My family and I attend the Catholic Church in our town twice a week. My father, Francisco Castro, is 38 years old. He works as a farmer to support our expenses and needs. Besides farming the land for others, he grows corn for our consumption. My mom, Marcela Tzoy Benito, is 36 years old. She is a fantastic housewife who keeps busy doing the chores and raising hens, sheep, and one cow. She sometimes sells her domestic animals in case of need. Thankfully, my family is in good health. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I want you to know that I am deeply grateful to you for supporting me through LW. It has been a meaningful project for us because of the tasty food that many needy people like me can have there.

I am 14 years old, and I am in good health. I was in seventh grade this year. I prefer to attend school because I learn the lessons much better. The economic situation of my family is not going well. It was difficult for my father to cover my school supplies this year. There are many things that I would love to do when I grow up. Some of them are to learn more about technology to become an expert and speak English. My favorite holiday is Christmas because I enjoy spending time with my family. I love drinking peach juice, and my favorite sport is soccer. I will have my birthday in February. What I love the most is receiving many gifts to celebrate a new year of life with my family. I say goodbye to you for now, but I want you to know that my mom helped me to give all this information to a teacher of LW to update you about my life. I send you my best wishes and hope to hear from you soon. Take care of yourself!

Special regards,

Juan Francisco Castro Tzoy
