My Story

Hello! I am writing to thank you for always being so kind to me. I hope you are having an amazing week! Please receive warm regards from your sponsored child Elvia Karina Ruiz Benito. I am 20 years old now. I spend time helping my mother do the chores like washing the clothes and making tortillas. Thank God, I am in good health. I have had the privilege of attending the feeding program for 11 years. What I like best is praying. I love the cold season because it feels fresh. I would like to be part of the choir at church.

My family is grateful for each blessing you have shared with us. My father works as a day laborer. My mother stays at home doing the chores and taking care of us. Thankfully, she in good health. We are members of Catholic Church. We like to learn about God. I would like to ask for your prayers for my father’s health and job. My father has suffered from allergies since he was 8 years old. He takes medicine. I want to share with you that my father finally legally recognized me. My biological father’s name is Carlos Gutierrez Barrera, so now my full name is Elvia Karina Gutierrez Ruiz. This has made me very happy. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and for all your love for me.
