My Story

I greet you fondly, wishing you the best. My name is Fernando and I want to share my last news with you. I hope you find it engaging. At the moment, my family and I do not attend any church. Fortunately, my mother could listen to the gospel thanks to a teacher of the LW evangelism team. The teacher also asked for my mother’s help to collect all this information for you. My father, Alejandro Gutierrez, is 52 years old. He works as a farmer and day laborer to support our family. His health condition is stable, although he has hearing issues in both ears. About one year ago, he suffered an accident in a truck when he was at the coast. He already is under medical treatment, but his medicine is expensive. My mother’s name is Macaria Toj. She is 50 years old and her health condition is good like mine. She raises domestic animals such as hens, pigs, sheep, and turkeys for sale. She helps my father with her income. Our economic situation does not allow us to buy all our needs. Our current necessities are clothes, medicines for my father, and groceries, especially corn. The feeding program has been a great blessing in my community. It has helped many families like mine with food. My parents and I harvest corn and beans for our consumption.

As for me, I want you to know that I am in seventh grade. I learn more and better when I receive face-to-face classes. This school level is more demanding than the previous one. It has been a little hard for my parents because they have to cover other needs at home. I would love to make a living as a lawyer when I am older. I also would like to speak English. Therefore, I would like to count on your prayers. Christmas is my favorite because I love sharing that lovely time with my family and friends. I will have my birthday in October. I love having a delicious cake and receiving new clothes as gifts to celebrate with my family. My favorite drink is coffee and I like soccer.
