My Story

This is Marvin, and I am delighted to share my last news with you through this update. I hope you are enjoying the wealthiest blessings from our Lord wherever you are. Let me tell you that my family and I are members of Pentecostal United Church, and our services are usually three times weekly. Listening to the gospel there and at the feeding program has been a blessing for me. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I want to thank you so much for sending your love through LW. A member of the evangelism team encouraged us to continue trusting in the Almighty. The teacher also collected this information for you, thanks to my mother’s help. Thankfully, our health condition is good. Our priorities are food supplies, but we work hard at home by raising pigs and hens to sell when it is necessary. Besides that, we grow corn for our consumption. My mother, Sabina Gutierrez, is 35 years old. She works by washing clothes for other people to help my father with expenses.

My father, Francisco De La Cruz, is 40 years old. He makes a living as a day laborer and usually works three or four days weekly. Nowadays, I work as a mason’s helper together with one of my uncles. I like this job, so I look forward to becoming the best mason when I am older. I have heard that speaking English helps you a lot to have better opportunities, so I would like to learn that language someday. Holy Week is the best celebration of the year because I love seeing how people remember all the things that Jesus did to save our souls. I like drinking Coca-Cola, and my favorite sport is soccer. I turned sixteen in January, but I did not celebrate my birthday because of a lack of resources. However, I would like to do it someday. This is all for now, but I send you my best wishes, hoping to hear from you soon. May God continue taking care of you!

Sincerely yours,

Marvin Eduardo De La Cruz Gutierrez
